A short photo tour from the south side of the Yarra River that runs through the centre of Melbourne. The riverside is full of great restaurants, picnic spots and some cool street art.
My favourite part of the riverside was the Sandridge Bridge, a renovated railway bridge. It has ten sculptures on it, entitled The Travellers, representing all the different immigrants in Australia. It also has 128 glass panes giving details on the make up of Australia’s population, each one a different country.
The other bridges, despite not being so symbolic are still pretty cool. And as seems to be the case of anywhere with a metal wire in Australia, people have declared their love by leaving a padlock. Best of luck Leila and Ross!
Melbourne looks pretty spectacular at sunset and night too.
